“Huma Quşu” Fund at Karabakh University: “Humay’s Karabakh Grant” Competition Announced

On April 16, a presentation ceremony of the “Huma Quşu” Educational Support Fund was held at Karabakh University in the city of Khankendi.

The event was attended by the university’s academic staff, students, and media representatives. In the opening speech, Turker Gasımzade, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Karabakh University, spoke about the broad opportunities and prospects that the Fund’s projects create for students.

The Fund’s President, Shahla Vazirova, provided detailed information about the organization’s three-and-a-half years of activity. She noted that the Fund aims to preserve the memory of Humay Quliyeva and to instill in the younger generation the values she embodied, such as charity, compassion, patriotism, and courage.

Shahla Vazirova stated that, within the framework of 10 programs implemented so far, the Fund has supported the education of 55 veterans and students. During the event, information was also presented about the “Humay’s From Dream to Reality Grant” and “Humay’s Island of Knowledge” programs.

One of the most important highlights of the event was the announcement of the newly established “Humay’s Karabakh Grant” competition.

The screening of Humay Quliyeva’s TEDx-style talk on “The Importance of Courage” created emotional moments for the participants. The Fund’s scholarship recipient and lecturer at Karabakh University, Aysha Narimanova, also delivered a speech, sharing the new opportunities the Fund had opened in her life and her achievements.

The presentation, held in a warm and interactive atmosphere, concluded with a concert program prepared by students of the Faculty of Arts at Karabakh University.

It should be noted that informational presentations about the activities of the “Huma Quşu” Educational Support Fund and its announced competitions have been held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary, the Cultural Center of the Republic of Austria, World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens in London, as well as at academic institutions including ADA University, Baku Slavic University, UNEC, Khazar University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan Medical University, the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, and others.
